I just read the "About us" section on grayzone.com.
Seems like they are more of an investigative company, not ones that would
actually make a move. they state they are a group of "paralegals, research
experts, music, movie and software professionals, licensed private
investigators and skilled computer operators on call to serve you. We
specialize in the field of anti-piracy operations and have contacts worldwide
to assist us."
They would figure out the operation, and then turn it over to be pursued by
someone else, at least that is what I get from it, there is even a statement at
the bottom to attorneies, informing them they are not trying to replace them,
but to help them stop the boots. Thing is they are talking about
Bootlegged CDs, not shows. they go after material that has been released, a
totaly different story than what we do.
No matter what they are, it would take quite the while to do anything,
and properly worded responses would slow them down forever!
I wouldnt worry about it too much, But im sure most here would not mind having
it all on disc, I know I still have my Project Ballentine Discs on hand if need
be, and I do go to them occasionally.
But I must say thanks for keeping it going for as long as you have, I have used
your site for reference purposes and of course for art, so kudos to you for
doing what you have!

Dear Randy,
From what I can see on your site you aren't selling anything or seeking to
profit from it in any way, unless I am mistaken. If you are providing the
material for educational purposes and it is elsewhere on the net then you
should have nothing to worry about from a copyright/trademark infringement
standpoint. Usually there has to be a transaction of money involved to be able
to make a claim against a third party. What are they losing by this? Why does a
multimillion dollar company have an interest in seeking to curtail an avid
collector from amassing a database of artwork that could barely earn them
fractions of a penny? It doesn't make sense, especially in lieu of the fact
that Led Zeppelin themselves were the biggest plagiarists of the early american
blues artists known to mankind. I own a lot of the original blues recordings,
and the amount of theft on Zeppelin's part is no laughing matter. I think
grayzone.com should be working for the old blues
artists to get some more publishing and royalty $$$ out of the Led Zeppelin
camp for all they stole from the american blues heritage. They should be happy
that anyone cares to preserve the legacy, instead of trying to milk every last
cent out of ordinary people. If this type of activity becomes common public
knowledge it will only be a matter of time before kids will say "Led Zeppelin
Sucks". Thanks Rhino Entertainment, you scum sucking weasel bastards!
