Re: Karma and the Grammys??

From day 1, it was said it's not about the money. And not just Plant said so. I am sure plenty of promoters were trying to get a Led Zeppelin tour to happen...but I would venture to say it would be for THEM to make money, not Led Zeppelin. Frankly by turning them down, Plant did sort of the right thing. But IMO it would have been more righteous to have said yeah ok, but proceeds go here, there & everywhere but your pocket old man. And how do we know such a deal was sent back and the old man said no no that's not how it will work and then Robert gave them the big middle finger ? You're right Grant, from Plant we'll never get a straight answer. From the media we'll get a ton, and most likely none will be the truth.

Other than us disenchanted Zep fans, what people are you saying are so pissed at Plant ? Do you have evidence of that ? My evidence of dispute is lack of proof that they were indeed offered the cash you said they were. Oh yeah, there was that Dee Snyder with his millions of dollars on the table rant.

I am not trying to discredit you... I fully understand the concept of Plant taking the high road. What I don't understand is in any way trying to tie Plants actions into anything political that's going on with the economics of general stupidity and greed of big business.

Well I'll confess that the $200 m offer for Plant was something that was put in
my head via the press. The same press that said George Bush was an awful guy.

What evidence may you have that diputes my claim that Plant was offered a
pretty good paycheck for a Led Zeppelin tour? Are you saying that none of the
big promoters like Michael Cohl were trying to get a Led Zeppelin tour to
happen.

If there were no offers on the table for Plant to take part in a Led zeppelin,
why are so many people pissed off at him?

You are not coming across to well here as you are trying to discredit what I
say instead of understanding the concept that Plant could have made a lot more
money by doing a Led Zeppelin tour than he made working with Alison Krauss

Plant's motives are always cloudy and ambiguous at best and we'll probably
never get a straight answer from him.

Take Care
