Where have I heard those words before?
Oh, that's right, it was FBO's very own Wyatt Brake, on Dec. 11.
Whittling down the list of possible reasons we haven't gotten an
official DVD of the O2 concert, Wyatt exonerates Robert Plant as being
a stick in the mud against advances.

Likewise, we still haven't been told outright by any of the Led
Zeppelin members that the decision not to reunite Led Zeppelin at any
point in 2008 was up to Robert Plant not wanting to make it happen.
The Telegraph interview Dawn posted to FBO a few hours ago pretty much
changes this.

No mention here from Jimmy of having had any intention of forming a
new band and calling it something other than Led Zeppelin.
Of course Jimmy may have indeed said something to that effect and we
just don't know it because the Telegraph's Neil McCormick cut it from
his finished article. Or an editor did. And probably not with
malicious intent.
But this pretty much helps the argument, made so eloquently by Wyatt
shortly after my Myles Kennedy interview the other week, that it does
seem Jimmy wanted Robert to sing and nobody else whereas Jonesy more
or less didn't care who got the job, he just wanted to go out. And if
Jimmy couldn't have Robert, then he didn't want anybody in the near
future.
If that's true, then Jimmy was a bit of a stick in the mud in 2008. And 2009.
Which is why he's stuck reflecting on the Led Zeppelin reunion of
2008/2009 that didn't happen, rather than reflecting on the Myles
Kennedy band of 2008 that didn't get off the ground and didn't carry
over into 2009.
That all being said, I do look forward to a highly productive year
from Jimmy in 2010. It's been a long time!

P.S. Kudos to Wyatt for basically saying something that was on
Jimmy's mind. And happy new year to everybody on FBO!
