IMO
the RnR HOF doesn't really mean anything
it's like those top 100 playlists that radio station put together and play
during
labor day weekend or other holidays
or it's like an anthology of your fav music or band
except it's somebody else's choice!
from the time the HOF got started until now
most artists don't take it seriously
It is a great opportunity to see some of your favs play or speak
but that's it !

The list of inductees to the RnR HoF is definitely a mixed bag of artists,
some of whom I don't consider to be rock 'n rollers. I think if they were
a big influence in rock music then it's ok for them to be included. What
I don't understand is how some genuinely great rock bands have been so far
excluded from the HoF over some of these influential "non-rock" artists. I
visited the RnR HoF a few months ago for the first time. It's pretty good
but at this time doesn't have much in the way of Zep stuff. I got to see
JPJ's bass from the '77-'80 period (Alembic?) and that was really awesome.
