that overwhelming revulsion you speak of has a price and can be overcome
$$$
not by you per se but for the right person
institutions like billboard are just a cog in the wheel of megamarketing
schlock
Pimps they are
Pimps
whoring out the skank muzak for mass consumption
these endorsements are meant to trigger sales and that's all
today's music scene needs megadoses of JP back in it
and by the sound of things to come from JP in 2010 we shall have it!
Also I'm glad that Jeff and Eric will be touring together
This is something I'd always hoped Jeff and Jimmy would have done
I'm sure I'm not alone in that wish either but for right now it will be
Jeff and Eric
At least some tasty music will be out there for the youngins to be
bewildered by
setting the record straight
what's what and who's who kind of thing happening

Don't worry MinM - I don't blame Canada. Nickleback make me ashamed
to be human.
I don't know what Billboard's criteria are for annointing NB GotD but
I'm just going to assume it was sales since they are they epitome of
commercial banality. If I were in charge of Billboard and I realized
I would have to make such a declaration, I think I would have just
gone dark. Issue a press release stating that, due to overwhelming
revulsion (from when we threw up in our mouths a little), we simply
can't publish anything this week. Come back next week with a shred of
pride and principle still left and hope nobody noticed that there was
no Group of the Decade issue.
