Re: zeppelin-digest V11 #3941

A friend of mine sticks his tongue out when he is working on something or really focusing on something. He has always done this since I've known him when we were kids. I always bust on him and he sticks it back in but a few seconds later its back out again. LOL And he didn't ride the short bus or anything either. :)

I have often thought long and hard about this subject. i know that most people probably want to thing that page is just drooling because he's all whacked out on some heavy drugs or something. well, that might have been the case at times, but i'm more of the mindset that it is in fact his intense focus. this sounds strange, but i have found myself many times really focusing on something that takes dexterity and mental coordination with my hands and more often than not i find a big pool of drool building up under my tongue and threatening to come out! just the other night i was cleaning out some pomegranates for my daughter, and i was really focusing - getting all the fruits out, trying not to get chunks of the flesh in the bowl, trying not to pop any of the fruits and have juice go all over the place - and i look down and there's this 18 inch line of drool coming out of my mouth onto my jacket. (yes, i peel and clean pomegranates with a rain coat on - it saven on the laundry trying to get stains out :)

i think it's just his focus and i really appreciate that!
