Re: Autographed LZ II auction

And some more info...

95% of the items in our auction we procure from musicians when they come through town or directly through the artists management (like the signed Robert Plant/ Allison Krauss piece). But for some of the classic rock pieces we really on our supporters in the professional memorabilia collecting field to make donations for us.

The Certificate of Authenticity is from the company Forever Legends, Inc. signed by Maria Brockway. I'm afraid I don't have the opportunity to scan it for you at this time, but I hope that helps.

Our proxy bidding ends today on all of our items and the auction takes place tomorrow! Fingers crossed for a large turn out to help the kids!

Well, I got a nice quick response and sounds like they had checked it out as well... I said a scan of the COA along with the item listing would be a good idea, let's see what happens!

I like doing this sleuthing stuff...keeps me young at heart.

Nech,

Hello - My name is Kyle ****** and I work for Rock For Kids charity in Chicago. Steve Nozicka recently photographed a number of items for the Rock For Kids auction, including a signed Led Zeppelin II item. That particular item we acquired from one of our supporters who has been a lifelong memorabilia acquirer. He showed us the Certificate of Authenticity he was given when he first acquired the item himself. We've also had a couple of our other supporters who are professional memorabilia collectors look at the album and in their opinion it is authentic.

Thanks for your interest!

Rock On - Kyle

I dunno either
Jimmy's especially didn't look right, but I made no comment in my posting

I heard about the auction on the radio this morning
they announced "signed by all 4 members"

I looked up Rock for Kids and posted to FBO

I dunno about this....

Where's the COA?!?!?! And comparing that pic to known autographs , they just don't look similar.

Unless, there's some sort of coa specifying the date this was actually signed or a better description and pic of said item I'd do a serious caveat emptor on this piece. Just wrote to the photographer listed for this piece to see what info he can provide.
