Plant is heavily involved in his local community up in the midlands.
Yep, the local vintners are happy that he keeps buying up all that wine Mick Wall claims he sits home drinking while watching Frasier. :)
The public and the government make the nominations so I guess someone must
think he is doing something worthy.
Of course he`s done something worthy. He sang for the world`s most popular rock group. To the public he's the voice of Led Zeppelin; to the government, he's a source of considerable revenue.

OK so someone needs to answer me this... Robert apparently seems to

Maybe Lizzy likes gold ol' down home hoedown fiddle music and liked
Raising Sand. ;-)

Seriously, the only charity work I`ve ever heard of Plant doing was
something last year. I can`t recall the charity but there was a photo op
with Percy driving a tractor of something. Then there was the work he
did with Jimmy raising funds for Second Harvest during the `95 tour. I
assume Plant was also involved although Jimmy was the one who showed up
with the T-shirt for encores.

But the ultimate line from QEII would be if she looked at him and asked,
"Oh yes, and when ARE your going on tour with the other fellow again?"
