Re: Grant...IS this what you were talking about?

It's a pattern of stuff.

First of all there was Jimmy's trip to Japan last January where he suggested
somthing could happen in the fall after Robert's tour with Krauss. Based on
info I had heard, Plant killed a tour before Jimmy left for Japan. Thus Jimmy
was babbling about something he knew wasn't going to happen.
Well, that's an assumption you can make I guess. But you do not know for sure do you ? And if he was a babbling, he was doing a pretty convincing job of it...either trying to convince us or himself that it still WAS going to happen.

Then enters David Coverdale. Two weeks after getting a series of nice words
from Ross Halfin on Halfin's website, coverdale announces that he will be the
opening act on a Led Zeppelin tour.
Now how or why would Jimmy be responsible for Coverdale talking out his arse? If anything I suspect it was more of a DC razz at Jimmy. After all, he must've been pissed that it was Myles and argk Tyler spending time with the J's and not him!!

Of course, there were the reports from the Sun with a headline of Plant agrees to do
Zeppelin tour. They were quoting a "source close to the band".

Strange thing that Sun.

And of course Steve Tyler comes out of the closet by saying he was rehearsing
with Jimmy and the boys to get Robert worked up.

Was it Tyler that actually said that or Bill Ward ?

If Jimmy wasn't involved with any of these "coincidences", somebody is doing a
good job of making it look that way.

Somehow, I find it very hard to believe that Jimmy himself would stoop to such low levels. There were definitely mind games being played...no doubting that, but to say that Jimmy was making or asking people to say stooopid things I find a bit of a stretch.

But everyone's entitled to their opinion.

I'm trying.
