Re: Chords vs Intervals

After playing music for well over 30 years, I ain't never had a clue what any of these definitions mean. If THAT's what music is about, it sucks. I might as well toss my 15 guitars out the window, follow it up with my Bandura, Strumstick, Banjo and then toss the Mandoline on the fire.

I played blindly what sounded good to my ear. And apparently since I never got any black eyes, I wasn't the only one who thought so.

It's what you feel, what you hear, what ever your fingers do, be it 1 , 2 ,3 4 or 7 of them on the fretboard and it made a niose that made your yayas scrunch up...yeah, that's what it was all about.

A chord for a bored.

Harumph!!!!

Viva Ramones. Don't need no stinking triads to make me pump my fist.

Viva Led Zeppelin.... 1500 chords and counting. 1500 cords and counting...

And what was that about dissonance?!?!?!? For shame you damn chords!!!!!

By definition, yes. But then many rock musicians tend

Heck, most I've met can't even read a lead sheet.

By definition, a chord is three or more notes. Two
note combinations are referred to as intervals.
