Re: Like we were playing from Mars....

Well, I guess we can add the 1500 cords/chords to another one of those Led Zeppelin mysteries that needs to be resolved on the LZ forum!!! ; )

1500 cords is alot of friggin cords!!!! Could you imagine the tangled mess that's make?!?!?!???!!!! IMO though, I would think Page was joking about chords...or maybee....oh whatever!!!

Nice to know Jimmy's a fan of his own music! Ha! Talk about being in a jovial mood.

I think he is talking about cords as is guitar patch cords. After all, the interviewer asked about guitars specifically. With that said, how many guitars does Jimmy own? lol A side note, when Jimmy is asked about how the band was shunned by critics back in the day his description of how they just didn't understand the music, to me, may lend a great deal to why Eric felt/feels about them. Perhaps this music was/is beyond what Eric can understand. Even 30 years after the fact.

:O)

Could be incorrect, but I think he means that he doesn't even have
1500 cords (as in cords used to plug the guitar into an amp), let
alone that number of guitars. As I said, I could be wrong.

I'm no math major, and I certainly have no musical talent (except, I
like to think, in my ability to discern good from bad...), but are
there even 1500 different chords? I was under the impression there
weren't that many.

Either way though, it was a good article. I just had a different
interpretation of the last line.

No.........he meant "chords"................or did I not get it,
and you were somehow joking? A chord is: A combination of three or
more notes that blend harmoniously when sounded together. As in "AC/DC
made a career out of playing only 3 chords".
