Yeah..
pretty good actually... some comments.
I listen to live shows SO MUCH I forget about the
original studio recordings. out-takes yeah those also.
LOUD, yes it is quite LOUD. I haven't looked at the
wave files in detail, I haven't compared it to the
CD's or even to my original LP's (yet).
what I like:
the packaging... the gatefold opening, lack of
plastic... has a 'bootleg' look to it :)
if anything bootleg folks have upped the ante on
packaging in my opinion.
I bought the expanded edition with the DVD, only an
extra $5 so ... I wish I had checked ahead of time
about the t-shirt deal on line.. I haven't seen the
deluxe edition in ANY store with the t-shirt.. I like
the 'Mothership" t-shirt better than the Song Remains
the Same t-shirt..
Levee just ROCKS.. I love that tune and it is just
incredible....
more listens tomorrow... I am thinking I will take my
CD to Best Buy or somewhere to listen to it cranked on
a real high end stereo... :)
I have ALL the original LP's, all the CD's, the DVD, I
still bought it..
I am REALLY excited about the remaster of the Movie...
added songs... Over the Hills... BUT no WLL from the
last show... wow now an 'official' release of that
version would just... words can't describe....
one other comment about Mothership..
did you notice?
no acoustic songs... NONE... no That's the Way, NO
Going to California.... NO Battle for Evermore...
NONE..
odd...would that remaster version of the acoustic
songs show flaws?... just wondering.....
