The most obvious is that it will not have anything on
the back of the case saying "remastered by Jimmy Page"
or "remastered by Jimmy Page and George Marino". It
will often have a paragraph on the back about the
"limitations of an analog recording." This was a
standard text that appeared on a lot of CDs when they
first came out in the 80's.
These original LZ releases show up quite a bit in used
CD stores 1. because they sold a lot of them, and 2.
because of remasters. People always think remasters
are better than originals. This isn't always the case,
but hey, to each his or her own.

Hoffman forum about these original CDs (Barry Diament
