Re: LZ legitimate downloads suggestion

What the band thinks is good is their own bias, they aren't able to make objective decisions on which was the best track from which night, etc. One night may have a unique performance of one track, but another concert may have a unique performance of another song, it's impossible to pick out specific things.

The point is, it is impossible to find the best stuff from a few nights because everything was always good - even with the supposed mistakes which actually are part of the whole "live" experience. There was something fantastic and something unique from every show, not just the big well known concerts. What these guys were able to do every consecutive night was astounding.

Every concert was different and THAT is what LZ was truly about. Three shows from the end of 1973 are not representative of the whole tour. The whole tour is representative of the whole tour. One concert is just once piece of the picture, not the best or the worst.

The thing is, being the perfectionists they are, although I'm sure they possess more than we will ever know, I highly doubt we'd see SBD full shows put out by the band itself. Look how long it took them to muster up HTWWW and DVD. Don't think the money potential would sway them at this point.

But, no need to wait for someone to tell 'em that...you just did. ; )

Since LZ has decided to make their music available on itunes, how about releasing all the concerts in full unedited soundboard form this way. They would certainly make a nice chunk of change from that, don't you think? Considering fans have been blowing all their money on all those CD's from Japan for many years, it is obvious that they would buy hundreds of full unedited concerts off itunes. Somebody should tell this idea to one of the band members if they ever come into contact with them.
