Jimmy Page has generously donated a pair of tickets to his concert at
the O2 Arena on December 10th 2007, to Task Brasil. The Led Zeppelin
reunion concert will feature band original members Jimmy Page, Robert
Plant, John and Paul Jones along with Jason Bonham.
This is a unique and rare chance to win a pair of tickets to this once
in a life time concert. All funds raised will go towards the charity
Task Brasil. Jimmy Page has been involved with supporting the work of
the charity for the last ten years and he is very keen to see this work
continue and grow.
“These tickets are intended to raise awareness of and aid the
fundraising activities of Task Brasil and Casa Jimmy,” explains Jimmy Page.
Task Brasil Trust is a UK registered charity established in 1992. Our
projects in Brazil improve the lives and support the needs of children,
adolescents and pregnant teenage girls living on the streets of Brazil.
Task Brasil was given an enormous boost in 1997 with a very generous
donation by Jimmy Page, the Led Zeppelin rock icon, who had witnessed at
first hand the deprivation of the children and appalling difficulties
they face in the favelas (slums) whilst playing in Rio de Janeiro. The
money donated was used to buy a plot of land in Santa Tereza on which
‘Casa Jimmy’ has been built and now provides a safe and happy home for
some of the abandoned children of Rio.
100% of the proceeds will go to supporting the beneficiaries of Task
Brasil (registered charity 1030929 – www.taskbrasil.org.uk).
All proceeds will go towards helping vulnerable children in Brazil
