Fwd: Glyn Johns quote about Page

some good things about glynn johns;

he probably put his bad love on jimmy aside in years to come and
produced (at least) one great album; joe satriani's self titled '95
album. it is my favourite satriani album which has been done "live in
the studio" with top grade session player like andy fairweather
low-guitar, nathan east-bass, manu katche-drums.

my favourite track is "moroccan sunset". i HIGHLY recommend this album
to everyone who likes rock music.

öner

ps to nathan: if you want both grace and fire check this.

Never heard this. Why would Johns say that about Page? Cheers Tony

Glyn Johns has always been bitter about not getting a Producer credit for
the first album. He feels that he contributed just as much as Jimmy did,
if not moreso.

Also, Page and Johns were "equals" back in the mid '60s (and they even
played in a band together in 1963) so it must really chap Johns' hide to
see Page become a superstar while he's still stuck in the relative
obscurity of the control room.
