I'm gonna go out on a limb here because I don't have either
version, so I can't make an informed assessment, but just a possible
suggestion: no offense, but have you simply thought of reducing the
color level. Maybe Genuine Masters boosted the color levels up; this
would cause bleeding of colors (especially red). If this is the case,
lower the color level in the TV's picture settings (or in the DVD
player's separate settings). Not all DVD players have separate
settings for contrast, color, brightness, etc, but some do.
The bad thing is of course that you would need to raise the level
again afterwards to better suit other DVDs. Of course if you're like
me, you adjust some of the levels for every movie you pop in the
thing. Can you say obsessive/compulsive?

I just received my "knights of the court" earls court 24th dvd from genuine
masters. I have compared it to "Heavy Metal Kids" by empress valley and I am
sad to say its not as good. The sound is slightly better but the video
quality is definitely lacking.....the colours bleed way too much. I have
been happy with all of my GM purchases in the past but this one was a
disappointment. Has anyone else got these two DVD's to compare??
cheers,
