as josh said the topic/issue is success/going big/bigger after break
up. i'd like to insert my 2 cents here. what is success? in my
opinion, in this specific case, in the name of music, it is simply the
good/better (if possible) music, anytime/anwhere. so, in plant's case,
he'd be happier if he accepts the truth that he simply can't achieve
that great musical creativity he has done with led zeppelin nor he
can't sing it again.

so, is post zeppelin plant successful? i say yes, because he has
created great music also as a solo artist and he shouldn't compare
himself with zeppelin. these are basicly two different things although
the singer is the same person.

when we come to other people who went solo after their big bands,
almost all of them can be considered successful in my point of view
but NONE of them could be better without their bands whatever numbers
they sold. i am very thankful to those who continue(d) to make music
after they HAD TO break up/finish their bands because of inevitable
reasons.

i want original pink floyd, deep purple (mark 4), fleetwood mac (with
green), genesis (with gabriel & hackett), police, styx, cream, bonham,
dire straits, extreme, foreigner, guns'n'roses, jethro tull, van halen
and yes back. yes i do.
