The last I heard was a bust at a record show in
Hamilton. I remember this lady named Michelle Pardis
of the RCMP was telling all the press that this person
was busted he was facing 25 years in prison and/or a
$1 million fine. The defendant in this case got a
lawyer to work pro-bono and his sentence was to make a
$1500 donation to the charity of "his" choice.
Basically the legal system here does not want to
prosecute people for selling bootlegs because it is
very difficult to get a conviction.
Last year the same lady who was making all these
claims about how big this case was , went around
telling the press that they caught some terrorists in
the Toronto area who were plotting to kidnap and
behead our prime minister.
