zep re-union squashed 1977 revisited

Well
I saw no mention here, but as I am on digest it might
have been mentioned. But with the Police announcing a
tour after the Grammys....
I think that pretty well puts the name on the 'super
group reforming for stadium tour'..

Did you see the funny comment by Stewart Copeland?
"we all do yoga and eat granola now" 

30th anniversary tour.. 1977...

This has made me think about 1977.....

yeah a big year..Zep tour, Pink Floyd Tour,
Steve Martin, Saturday Night Live, The Police,
Fleetwood Mac's Rumors, Star Wars... yeah timing the
eating of brownies so you the scene at the end where
Luke blows up the Death Star was in full buzz mode..
I saw Star Wars 13 times that summer..

Seeing Zep on May 30th in the now destroyed Capitol
Center in MD.
Me and a buddy watched the Beatles Movie Yellow
Submarine before we left for the show...

I backed out of Ted Nugent Concert...

Zeppelin Tour.. yeah I said that once..
Classic event.. BIG..
for you too young to realize, Zep was HUGE in 77,
bigger than ANYTHING now...

Has it been 30 years?

I cannot fit into my 'original 1977 United States Tour
Led Zeppelin' t-shirt... the ones that you see now all
over the place.. My 18 year old son has one..
I did let my 14 year old daughter wear the original to
school 1 day.. 1 day that is all... just once...
priceless.. priceless in my mind and memories..

30 years...
