RE: Non-verified reunion rumors

Jonathan,

Ya know, I was gonna say "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..."
But never mind. The bottom line for me about this whole premise is simply: I
find it impossible to believe that a reformed "Zeppelin" (or whatever you
want to call it) would plan stadium concerts in venues with capacities of
40,000 to 100,000. Obviously the gross is better (100-k at $100 a ticket= a
cool ten million). But if this reunion ever DOES happen, it won't be a
cynical grab-for-cash, big-hits happening. (I figure they're well-set
financially, except maybe JPJ, but I send him a tithing of my income every
year, as I assume most of you do). Plant's experiences with the smaller
venues in recent years has doubtless been enjoyable for him. Or so it's
seemed to me when I saw him-- and that goes for Jones as well. I guess what
I'm saying is that what will NEVER happen (I will stake me life on it) is a
big-stadium tour opening with "Rock and Roll" and finishing with "Stairway,"
to be followed by perfunctory encores of "Communication Breakdown" and
"Roxanne." Er, wait...

"You don't have to sell your body to the night,"

Subject: Reunion Rumor **NON-VERIFIED**

I guess its best to be perfectly clear when speaking on that topic.

I got into a discussion yesterday with a friend of mine whose opinon I
respect on this subject. We had been trading emails off and on discussing
the Police re-forming.

He told me that he read an article in the WSJ about how new entites would
pursue the Statium gate this summer as that particular market is currently
avaiable. The acts he mentioned from the Journal story were the Police, and
Led Zeppelin. It's not like they would have a hard time finding venues.
Venues would buy out of contracts to bring these guys in.

Now...... can anyone find any legs to this? I found nothing on the WSJ
site - but I am not a subscriber.
