LED ZEPPELIN Rumors Heating Up
Posted on Sunday, February 04, 2007 at 10:18:31

According to Toronto-based radio station Q107, these LED ZEPPELIN reunion rumors are really heating up. Original bassist John Paul Jones was seen at Trinifold Management in London, England recently with singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page apparently discussing plans for as reunion that will feature late drummer John Bonham's son Jason on the skins. The last time the original three performed was on July 13, 1985 at the Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, for a short set featuring drummers Tony Thompson (CHIC) and Phil Collins (GENESIS). Jones has been noticeably "absent" during Page/Plant's musical activities post-Led Zeppelin.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but IMO the rumours are getting out of hand.
Remember
where this apparently started - from a virtual reprint of an old, untrue
article in
a U.K. magazine/newspaper. As for the above, it references Toronto's Q107, but
only
states that the rumours are "heating up" and that the fellas have been seen at
TM?
If there were to be a Q107 reference, what about that supposed JPJ interview
that
they'd purportedly done recently?? I know there was a theory the other day that
the
webmaster might not've updated their site over the weekend, but I have to think
that,
given the enormity of this news if it were true, they'd call the guy into work
for an
hour or two. :) Of course, being a webmaster, he could probably do a quick
update from
his home in his bathrobe if it were that pressing. And keep in mind that the
world of
radio probably isn't the same as working the line at Chrysler - I can't imagine
weekends
matter all that much, given that radio operates 24/7 (i.e. DJs and their
support crew are
always there).

If this JPJ "confirmation" interview on Q107 did in fact happen, someone
would've scooped
it (I mean besides that one blogger). They certainly wouldn't wait for Q107 themselves to get the info out there - and yet I couldn't find anything about it online (you'd think that would at least come up in the first few Google pages).
