Bruce,
I don't know if I ended up on the bad IP list again or what, but my post never got through, at least from what I can see from the digests. Or am I cracking up and missed it? Can you pass this along for me?
Thanks,
Michael

I for one have enjoyed all of Plant?s solo work at various stages of my life over the past 25 years, although some of it is hard for me to listen to in retrospect, and some of it that I could?ve cared less about in the past I?ve re-discovered and have grown quite attached to. The great thing about music is that it is a matter of personal taste and personal tastes may change over time. I think the important thing, at least as far as this list goes, is that we can all feel free to express our opinion and agree to disagree, and it generally leads to great discussion when it happens without personal attacks, and people not taking it too personally when someone let?s their frustration show through when trying to get a point across.

Whether one finds this Plant/Kraus project appealing or not; and I haven?t decided yet and probably won?t until I hear the whole thing; I find it a positive sign that he is finally moving in a different direction. He has done that with regularity over the course of his solo career and I for one feel that the SS thing has long past run its course, for better or worse. If he is changing direction again, who knows, anything is possible. I for one have a feeling that we are closer to a Plant, Page, Jones and whomever collaboration than we?ve been since Zep ended in 1980. And it doesn?t have to be a four piece thing as far as I?m concerned. Imagine the possibilities if you added two, three or more musicians to a Plant, Page and Jones reformation. Although I have disagreed on occasion with Mr. Thomson from time to time regarding Plant, I do agree with him that Plant?s voice on the recent live clips is sounding better than I?ve heard in a very long time and feel the timing is right for him to realign with his former band mates, since Jones is still on top of his game, and Page is looking the healthiest he?s been in years (in spite of the new grey wizard look which I think suits him). Not a Led Zeppelin rehash/reunion, but something new and different. I mean it?s ok if they do some Zep, or Page, Plant or Jones solo stuff playing live, but I hope what would be at the heart of it would be a desire to create new music, taking the Led Zeppelin legacy and spinning it upside on its head for all to behold. Could this project be Plant?s way of getting Jones? attention in a ?Jimmy, Jimmy? Fate of Nations sort of way? Maybe I?m just naïve holding on to a very old dream, but I think It?s time for these three gentleman to sort out whatever they have to, rekindle the old creative juices and really relight the torch to pass on, again, while they are still capable of it, which I believe they are.
