Re: FBO Projects!

These various projects have been tried several times over.

Oner, states the main reason the "best of" has never taken off....time, volume and it's very subjective. I think other than almost everyone agreeing that 4/27/69 ALAIHY ( As Long As I Have You - just in case ) is the alpha omega version, almost every other song is gonna be so split up amongst folks' favs it would be close to impossible to trully come up with a best of list that dosen't disagree with someone.

As far as the FBO member's covers of Zep tunes, I have tried several times to get folks to participate in this. And last time around made a specific effort to pitch it as not a show off your incredible talents but just show us anything you've done with a Zep tune and got one response and maybe several, if that, promises.

I submitted for a start my one time live attempt of BYR and got a really nice "garage" version of TYG from Keith D sent to me...everyone else that for years have gone on about their guitar skills or lack of just sat idle ...so that's where it went.

I'm not looking for a multi track Kevin Shirley production, just a simple recording of you, your band, doing a Zep tune. Be it in your garage, your basement, recorded on a cell phone by your girlfriend , just a fun way of sharing within FBO your love for playing Zep.

In the simplest form I was hoping to post them up on a web site and if anough of users had chimed in , even put together a cdr for anyone interested.

So put your shyness aside folks and get the Led out.

Here.... I'll even embarass myself again if it'll help you get your guts up. http://nechtytla.tripod.com/bronyraur.mp3

So if anyone's still interested, send me your songs!!

hi nathan,

best of live project needs a lot of time and effort for every
voter/participating person just to collect the results.

There were two projects going around not-so-recently that I personally
wanted to jump on. The FBO Led Zeppelin tribute Project, and the
newest Best Of Live compilation project.
