RE: Jimmy Page new solo CD release

from The Rock Radio (http://www.therockradio.com/2006/11/jimmy-page-ready-to-work-on-solo-album.html):

It was over two years ago that Jimmy Page said he wanted to make a new solo album, and it looks like he's ready to move forward now. After Led Zeppelin was inducted into the U.K. Music Hall Of Fame on Tuesday (November 14th), Page did a live interview on BBC radio and said he'll start to move forward after the holidays, on his own new project and something from his past: "I'd been hoping earlier on this year to be recording some music that I've already got together, but I had a few things that got in the way of it, and I'm gonna get, I'm gonna start up in the new year. It's an album that I really need to get out of my system. It's fun playing Zeppelin, playing with the Black Crowes, Zeppelin -- and playing their music, too, that was fun -- but there's a good album in there, and it's ready to come out. And also, there'll be some Led Zeppelin things on the horizon."

There's no word on when Page's solo album might be out, nor is there any explanation of what "Led Zeppelin things" he might be up to.

In the summer of 2004, Page told the U.K. newspaper The Independent that he was thinking about a Santana-style album that would feature collaborations with other artists. No names were mentioned at the time, but the guitarist did say he liked Red Hot Chili Peppers, the White Stripes, and Korn.
