Wynn:
No taboo questions here. Glad to help.
Some of these questions may be taboo on this list, but any help is
appreciated.
1) Does anyone know the dates to the Listen To This Eddie set?
June 21, 1977, the famous Mike Millard audience recording
2) What are "silver" bootlegs?
Silvers are factory pressed CD's like you buy at any retailer. They get their
name because, well, they always look silver as compared to CDRs. For
collectors of original bootleg releases, "silvers" are preferred because of
reliability and longevity. Virtually all "name" bootleg labels are silvers,
including Empress Valley, Tarantura, Akashic, TDOLZ, Image Quality, SIRA, to
name just a few.
3) Where are people getting boots these days? Trees? BT?
BitTorrent. Trees and trading have gone the way of the horse drawn carriage,
almost.
4) Has someone set up an online database of shows: dates, locations, set
list, sources, and possible a torrent file? :)
There are many online resources. Try these:
www.bootledz.com
www.uuweb.led-zeppelin.us (Underground Uprising)
www.led-zeppelin.us (Sessions)
www.oldbuckeye.com (best LZ link source)
....and of course www.zeppelinart.com
For torrents try www.royal-orleans.com. It is dedicated to Zep only. But
there are many more torrent sites. Just Google.
Good luck.
