Re: welcome to the circle....

The first bootleg I heard was Mudslide, which a friend picked up and played for me. The first boot, I actually bought was a 2-LP white covered release from the May 24, Earls Court gig. This was followed by the black-covered, white Zoso Copenhagen Warm-ups Second night set.

Your mention of radio recordings brought a warm memory of a radio show I taped with my dinky little mono cassette recorder in high school. It was some sort of radio special covering Led Zeppelin and featured all their studio recordings to that point (just after TSRTS was released so no ITTOD stuff). This was before I owned any of their albums besides TSRTS, so it was the first time I heard songs like Heartbreaker, Over the Hills, Since, Nobody's Fault. They even started with the Yardbirds' For Your Love which seemed a cool intro with those stark, dark chords. It definitely fit with Zeppelin. I think I still have the cassette around here somewhere.
