The first bootleg I ever owned was Bluberry Hill on vinyl. What a way
to start. It was in 1977 that I got it. I was in my first year at work.
A new friend I had made there thought I was Zeppelin nuts. He gave me
his copy of Blueberry Hill. He said any one this nuts about Zeppelin
should have a copy of this LP. At the time I was ignorant of Bootlegs.
I was fascinated. I must have played it hundred times in the first 2
months. It was great to hear 'Out On The Tiles' live! Also the melodies
in 'Whole Lotta Love' & 'Communication Breakdown'.
Later I disovered some others in record shops. Went to record collector
conventions and got a few there.
Joined up with FBO back in 2002 and discovered all the wealth of shows
that were out there. I have manny now. But Blueberry Hill still gets
picked to be played often.
Saw Zep live in 1970. I was only 11 and do not remember much. Then
again in 1975. That one I have a better memory of. But now aided with
the Bootleg of that show!
