All I can say is.........................
sorry had to go do a stinky tao of pooh first.....for some time now it
would seem that there are what ? only 3-4 reviewers in the entire
swimming pool of Zep collectors ? Is it that noone ever bothers to do
reviews anymore as things went the way of free downloads ? Or could it
be that reviews were submitted, never made it, and those reviewers got
fed up and gave up ? Or could it just plain be that there really are far
and few people that are willing to put in the time anymore to sit down
with several versions and make an honest comparison ? Only the site
owners can answer that question... And are they the folks that wrote the
positive reviews of said show ????!!??? I have no idea who HarleyDog and
LedMan really are. And the one that used their name did actually seem to
throw caution to the wind with this comment " The sound (especially
Plant's vocals) are different in the patched part of Bron-yr-Aur Stomp,
but this is alleged to be genuine and from this show." Patched part
and the word especially and genuine do seem to question the "complete"
soundboard concept ... power of suggestion maybe playing with the hoax
claimers ?
Getting past that though...
Take a look at the older releases and reviews. You'll see alot of FBO
milk carton kids there. A real bummer. Time goes on and people move on.
For every great new review missing, a bakers dozen of great new posts to
FBO are missing as well. I see a ton of the old addy's subbed...nothing
gets bounced back, but seems like their heydey is done and lurkdom is a
way of life as kids, grandkids(?), work , life in general, has made a
once full time preoccupation a fun memory. Yes, you'll be glad to know
I'll shut up eventually too. But don't get your hopes up to quick. I may
be an achy guy, but that vitameetavegemin is gonna work on me like dog
food. So good for you, makes you strong and clever too!
Now back to the so called hoax is ... I would really really think
there'd be more hubbub about it by now. I am waiting on my copy so by no
means can I express a valid opinion on said kanoodling, but I think that
there are more than several copies of this out there already...so where
are all the rest of the complaints?!?!?! Or is everyone out there that
complacent that they don't even bother to listen to a new show/source ?
As long suggested have indeed the new generation of Zep boot collectors
become nothing more than a bunch of bandwidth happy kids that want to
boast of nothing more than the sheer number of boots in their collection
and never ever even bother to really listen to them ? A sad state if you
ask me cause they don't know what they're missing. I myself have
actually slowed down my building process as I was outright feeling
guilty of stockpiling shows when I have others I've yet to completely
digest.
Before everyone's credibility and integrity start getting trashed I
would really like to see an in depth a la Eddie Edwards disection of
said hoax. Which for all intents and purposes is said to be that byr
stomp is not really a new complete sbd but actually a whole mish mosh of
sources up to and including the use of the studio LZIII version to make
it so. Wow. So, trainspotters....I summon you....wake up and post something.

Grant,
How can you honestly sit there and say that the credibility of Underground Uprising is at stake?
Reviews for one show shouldn't cause the entire site's reputation to
be questioned.
No disrepsect intended against you.
Nearly a week has gone by since Underground Uprising
has been contacted by a few collectors who have
exposed the hoax of Bron-Y-Aur Stomp in the 5/26/77
SBD.
