zepfest 97 photos back up

Apparently the zepfest 97 photos on buckeye's page haven't worked for a 
while, Bob got them back up today. Zepfest 97 was the last happy "DG" 
related gathering that ever happened, so it is a last hurrah of sorts. But 
it certainly was a blast, and it just occured to me that my first Zepfest 
in 96 was 10 years ago this month......and in April of 97, Zepfest 97 
happened.

But I skim over these photos and I see pics of some old school people, 
some, most...that have vanished, and a select few that are still here. 
Shelby and his talented sons including JPJ-lookalike bass player 
Steve....gettingt to shake hands with Luis Rey, hanging out with the likes 
of "Mr Prox" Hugh Jones (he was a celebrity to me at the time!), Mark 
McFall, the Hedricks of "Oh Jimmy" fame, meeting that mysterious Buckeye 
dude for the first time, letting McCue sing half of SIBLY at the jam (and 
then taking over and starting to sing the "Said I've been cryyyying..." 
part ontly to find somehow I disconnected the cable from the mike), Annie 
and Buzz, hanging out with Zerxes (despite the past list issues he is cool 
shit to hang with!), Pouya of course, Mr SOTD Jeff Lybarger, Catherine 
Cote, Julia Quets, the ever crazy JR (I beleive this was the year he woke 
me up and chased me down the hall with a fire extinguisher, probably 
because he went into the fire exit and I left thinking the dude was nuts 
and not wanting to get arrested....I think he woke up there the next 
day?), Larry from teh White with his jimmy-suit and theremin, 
Dissappointed to say I never got the chance to shake Bob Walker's hand 
that weekend (even though I found a picture of me with him in the 
background), not to mention the hard rock trip with natel, Barabas Mike, 
his gf Tracy, Ann-Marie, Rita, not to mention seeing the likes of Coach 
Brett, Dave Anderson, Ed Zeppein.....wow....thanks for letting me 
reminisce. Good times. Nothing will ever beat those first two zepfests, 
meeting so many great people and everyone from DG, then pretty much the 
only internet Zep discussion group, all partying together as one......you 
definately won't see that agian. It was good times.
