I had a dream two nights ago about The Firm. In my
dream, The Firm was
reuniting and was rehearsing in a large white room.
Tony was on the
far left (stage right)with his 80's puffy hair and
white/beige baggy
clothes and bass. Paul Rodgers was between Tony and
center stage and
was holding an acoustic guitar and wore a blue scarf.
He was standing
next to a microphone but was not singing. The drummer
was in the back
but was not really featured so it may or may not have
been Chris Slade.
For some reason, Jimmy Page was not involved in the
reunion so Paul had
to handle all guitar duties himself. On the right of
the stage was the
new singer (dear God, please forgive me).....RYAN
SEACREST!!! He was
wearing a tourquois colored button up jersey with the
collar turned up
like he was trying to look cool like people did when I
was in high
school in the 1980's. His hair had gel in it for that
cheesy spiky
look. He was trying to sing the line "I'm Radioactive"
but could not
get the phrasing, melody, or inflection just right. He
kept repeating
it over and over, and I thought this was tarnishing
the legacy of The
Firm. Finally, Paul sung it one time to show Ryan the
correct way to
do it. Paul nailed it perfectly, and I thought that
Paul should do the
singing and guitar and they should get rid of Ryan.
