Re: TSRTS in 5.1??

There is an interesting snippet on Kevin Shirley's website though, especially in view of Jimmy's comments in the latest Q Magazine about reviewing TSRTS stuff ;

Now, back home - preparing for upcoming sessions with Supagroup, Joe Bonamassa and a couple others (one a classic rock band of legend!), and of course my impending nuptials!!!

Regards,

Ian.

I believe the DVD was released in Dolby Surround but there's never been
a discrete 5.1 mix.

Actually rumours in the summer had it that Rhino was doing a 30th
anniversary remaster of the movie. Jimmy seemed to confirm this in his
recent Q magazine interview when he said he was going to a studio after
the interview to review some "stuff for The Song Remains the Same" and
mentioned that October marked the 30th anniversary.

Unfortunately, October has come and gone. I'm wondering if perhaps Plant
vetoed the release to avoid competition with his own box set due in a
few days. I can't believe anyone would be that petty but who knows.

Anyway, I don't have any hopes that TSRTS will make it out this year
because normally such a big release would be hyped a bit beforehand.

I thought TSRTS DVD was done in 5.1.Is it 2.0 DD?I will need to check
that
when I get home.If it is 2.0 DD it would be nice to see The Ocean/Black
Dog/Since Ive.../Misty Mountain included with a 5.1 and DTS Mix.
