"Snow Job" is just the beginning of the EV "SoundboardRevolution"
well I thought it was "LZ's Flying Circus" ;-) but yes, John I'd agree with you and your source too, that the stuff coming out such as 2.12.75 would probably have been --and pretty obviously seemed technically prepped for-- an official release but likely Plant has kept that from happening. also given audio tape quality of many [earlier] board recordings and Jimmy's / JPJ's perfectionism, there won't be a variable-limited-official release series a la GD 'Dick's Picks' coming from Zeppelin anytime soon.
I'm more interested in complete 1973 boards (and while not particularly encouraged by i.e. the recent re-circulation of an incomplete Mobile 5.13.73 by EV/Tarantura 2000...... where's Southampton 1.23.73, hm?), although am also LOVING the new, complete [mostly, thank goodness] 1975 boards, and the sweet-sounding 5.21.77 and 5.26.77 ones certainly don't hurt either (as you guys say, snippet of 6.10 etc. let's get some of those MSG '77s ...... ).
Where the heck is 6.2.73 Kezar complete?!! The Watch Tower soundboard [multitrack?] sounds *awesome*, much better than other 1973 boards. and supposedly, Plant actually *likes* his voice from that show (his voice was pretty damn good the following night in L.A., too.....)
(9.29.71 and OMG 6.19.72 would be my other, shoot-from-the-hip choices of Holy Grail soundboards needed right *NOW* .)
and ok, I said it: although we have so many wonderful audience recordings - thank you, all the tapers and show attendees - to appreciate atmosphere of the shows (recently listened to the Baltimore 7.23.73 _____THANK YOU!!! to whoever taped that gem_____), I simply must listen to '71-'73 in full soundboard/multitrack audio to hear and appreciate those boys' music. Period, end.

Based on the complete SB's and fragments which have been coming out in thelast 5 years I have too believe that someone out there, other then the band, has nearly every show on SB from 73 on....... The person who runs Hotwacks online commented that he heard from a reliable source that "Snow Job" is just the beginning of the EV "Soundboard Revolution" and that we should expect number of other SB's to surface over the next 18 months...He could or would not give specifics........... I believe him!! I think the SB's we have seen are only the tip of the iceberg......... I am willing to bet Jimmy has a ton of stuff in the "vault" but most of the tapes are not multitracks so I doubt he will ever release them being the perfectionist he is and Roberts reluctance to let out anything where his voice is not perfect so we have to wait for the hoarders to sell those SB's to EV... Growing up near NYC and having seen some amazing shows in the Garden, hopefully some of the 77 MSG SB's will finally come to the surface!!!!! I know the 77 tour was a train wreck at times and love the 77 LA shows but these would be my Holy Grail!
