RE: let's talk # 2

Nech, I know for sure that Number Two has a curved bridge, but I can't
find my source for the life of me. I've even seen a diagram of the
curvature, which is unusual and not symmetrical. Number Two is not a
gift from Joe Walsh, but was purchased for $500. It has spring-loaded
phase-control switches under the scratchplate as well as the special
mods for bowing.
If I can attempt to describe from memory the arched bridgepiece,
it's very similar in appearance to the LP standard bridge, except for
profile - the high and low Es are the same height, and the G shares that
height, or very close. The other three strings are arched, with the B
and A higher than the E-G-E, and the D highest of all. I'm going from
memory here, and not only could my memory be inaccurate, but I have no
idea why they would be arched in that particular manner, so I'm not able
to offer any analysis.

I'll keep looking for that source

Subject: let's talk # 2

You know, I've been thinking....oh ohhhhh.....

Whilst looking around for info on Jimmy's BB, I saw it over and over
on various sites that the # 2 has an arched bridge. Is this fact or
urban legend ? Does anyone have in their personal archives or some other

reliable source where either Jimmy, or again, a reliable source says
this is so ? I mean, think about it. In order for the bridge to
*really* have any impact on the bowing of individual strings, it would
have to have some curvature radius on it. So much so that I would think
it would really hamper the rest of Jimmy's playing. The only thing I
could possibly think of is that perhaps , maybe the high and low e's are

dropped down just a notch to facilitate hitting just the b or a with the

bow. Can't imagine it being much more..... Just a thought...one that
kept me up last night. And I mean that in the most Vancouver sort of
way! ; )

If you haven't signed up for that Snow Jobs tree yet...DO IT! Worth it

just for the Plantations alone. Did they have those funky hothouses in

Vancouver yet back then ? sweet smell......
