Re: Favorite Robert CD/Album

Gee, thanks.
This is classic denigration, of course. Here's how it
goes:
Something or someone pisses you off. You then diss
everything about it/them, whether rational or not.
When questioned, you immediately start attacking the
questioner.
If said questioner refuses to change their opinion,
then they become anathema as well.
~sigh~
To answer your comment, NO I don't necessarily like
everything Robert's done, nor do I like it all
equally. I happen to like his voice, so even a so-so
song sounds great when he's singing (unless his voice
is cracking or something) - that doesn't mean I
necessarily like the song itself.
I'm not at all fond of the one he sang on Jimmy's
album Outrider because I didn't like the quality of
his vocals (liked Jimmy's riff, naturally).
And I've mentioned a lot that he has had an uneven
quality of back-up musicians and of production in his
solo recordings.
But of course, because I like RPs voice, do not think
him arrogant based on what I've read, etc (except I
think he should have talked to Nech!) and appreciate
his choice of music, my opinion must be much less
important than, say, yours.
I say, we are both biased in our opinions.
But I do appreciate that you explained yours a bit
more.

Why do I get the feeling you'd still say you loved the
song if Robert
Plant were to
get up onstage and sing from the NYC phone book in his
nastiest, Uncle
Pervy "come
on, come on, come on, little girl" voice?
