I think these comments are representative of the Zeppelin fan age groups moving
through popular culture so that when a commentator wants to name a guitarist he
thinks everyone will associate with the pick, Page immediately comes to mind. A
decade ago, it might have Clapton or Eddie Van Halen. 20 years ago, it might
have
been Hendrix or the Beatles. We fans have been keenly aware of him all along,
but
the success of the Page-Plant reunion tour in 95 and then the tremendous
success of
the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD have sort of "re-entrenched" the name "Jimmy Page" in
popular culture. It's nice to see.
