I recall Plant mentioning in interviews that he received a demo of the song
from Phil Johnstone and that's what led him to pick Phil. He said he liked
the chord sequence and then Johnstone told him it was based on Kashmir.
Perhaps Phil sold it.

Ever listend closely to the music toward the end of "Hackers?" There is an
earily familiar electronica version of "Heaven Knows" playing in the
background.
I checked the credits to make sure, and there it was...Heaven Knows by ...??
unfortunately the cable company decided to suddenly shrink the credits to
make
room for the "You've just seen" marquee.
Who or whatever it was, started with an S, and was one word. It was def.
there tho...and def. Heaven Knows...so my question is this. Did Robert Plant
have
to give permission for the song to be reworked and used in a movie, or the
record co.?
