as for the rest of the show...I don't know. I just went and bought the Tulsa
World, and there isn't anything whatsoever in it about the Plant concert. The
Urban Tulsa publication will be the one if anything to have something, however
I do NOT live in Tulsa and that is the only place to obtain one. I'll check a
few local online sources later tho.
I also want to point out, there was some def. sound problems. The opening act
lead singers lyrics were muffed to the point you couldn't even make out what
he was singing. The music was very clear, but vocals had probs.
Seconds before Plant took stage, a man with a guitar was doing something on
the side and there was an EXTREMELY LOUD Hum and squeal, it was deafening, the
soundman was scrambling to correct the problem, but Plant came out and of
course there was feedback thruout the show.
All the guitars were being tuned right in front of us before the show, one
would think all this stuff i.e...tuning and sound control would have been dealt
with prior.
Everything seemed like a hurried up process. We were there when they were
carrying in the boxes of tour shirts, hats etc..They arrived in a Marriot Hotel
VAN!!! (clue to where Rob stayed?) So that wasn't ready to go either. I am
assuming Plant arrived the day of the show, stayed the night, then headed out
for
OKC yesterday.
It was in the mid 70's friday when we saw the show. 86 degrees yesterday, now
today Robert is playing okc, and it's frigid. I will NOT be going to OKC or
at least going and standing in any type of line. I was told this venue in OKC
is also STANDING ROOM ONLY.
Thought I'd let everyone know, just in case all the rest are the same way.
Call the venue and inquire about cameras. Security was extrememly lacking. The
only thing they did was break up the fights. You could have carried a gun or
bomb into the Cains and noone would have known. No metal detectors or wands, no
searches of ANY kind, nothing. We were searched at Kempor Arena, but that was
P/P and a much bigger venue.
Good luck to all who get to see him in his upcoming shows.
