Somber Subject: Bonham and 40 Measures?

   I am not a Zeppelin authority (not even close), so there
is much that I have yet to learn when it comes to my
favorite subject matter.
   How did John Henry actually die? What is the official
cause of death? The way I read it some years ago was that
after drinking "40 measures" of Vodka at Page's home, he
went upstairs to bed and later on that night/morning
aspirated and choked on his vomit. Was the 40 measures
correct, and if so, how much is a "measure"? Also, what was
his preferred brand of Vodka?
   I've been wondering about the 40 measures thing for
years now and figured that this was the place to put it to
rest.
