RE: What JP next record should be, new topic

Maybe Jimmy will put together a new album like Robert and then we can all go to Jimmy's concerts like we do Robert's to hear old Zeppelin tunes....like we do Roberts. And then Jimmy like can tell us all about how he's past those Zeppelin years, just like Robert!

Robert Plant who are you foolin'?

Hmmmmm. I have wondered where Jimmy is for a long time. Does he really need
to put out new music? I think so. I musician is just that, a musician. They
don't play music for the money only. Music to a musician is like breathing,
they have to do it to survive.

Jimmy will do something in the future, when is the question. In a recent
Guitar World Q&A he indicated that he felt is was time to move on from
rehashing old Zep material and create new music. He did not indicate he was
in a hurry or that it was going to be anytime soon.

What would I like him to do? I'd love to hear him do something bluesy with a
modern twist. In other words, I do not want him to do a record of Robert
Johnson covers (ala Clapton). His guitar playing needs to be FEATURED not
just a part of the song. He should mix it up, acoustic and electric. A cover
tune would be OK but he needs to write new stuff and focus on that. A guest
appearance by JPJ would be very cool. Most of all just play and write what
he feels inside, screw the record company, he can find a record deal if he
wants it.
