RE: more re So Sad about Robert show tix

Oner,

Here's what I would say about Jimmy Page in reference to the Black Crowes Show I saw him at about 4 years ago at Summerfest in Milwaukee: Page is more technically sound than ever, gone are the mistakes and sloppiness that plaqued him in the later years of LZ. However, you won't find great risk taking or guitar playing that challenges the threshold of guitar playing anymore. He's a different type of guitarist now, more technically sound. That's not good or bad, just a fact.

Even when he would mess up or was messed up in say '75-79 and made mistakes I still admired the cahones he had to try and play the guitar on the fringe. It made it great and interesting. I love those years to.

Sincerely,
Mike

Hey Vilma,

Pessimism is no good. I hope Jimmy will surprise us one day with good new
music. I also believe that Robert will remember rocking. In order to hear a
Jimmy refreshment I recommend Prison Blues from Outrider. It's true that he
can't play like he does at HTWWW but the point is he can STILL rock. Don't
you think? Love.
