WTF?!!
so now having the cojones to actually like Plant's solo stuff, and spend
money on tickets to go see him in concert makes people lacking in social
conscience? that's WAY off-base, and completely insulting to a lot of folks
on this list....AND in the real world.
yes. believe it or not, there are those of us who certainly do NOT
"worship" Page, Plant, Jones, OR Bonham----we appreciate their music past
AND present, and respect them as musicians. and golly gee, oh my! some of
us even have a "social conscience". even the ones who still appreciate Mr.
Plant.
crikey! first it's the months-on-end Plant bash-fest, now it's time to
start slamming on people who have the gall to actually....gasp!...like him?
well let me tell you sweetie, my days of being "socially conscious" started
in the early/mid-70s, when i spent the summer on a reservation in S. Sioux
City that any Auschwitz survivor would've recognized, continued when i got
busted at the Pentagon for being part of a folksinging group doing the
"peace and love" thing inside, and hasn't really stopped since. i certainly
don't need you or anyone else lecturing me on how to give of myself and my
resources to my fellow living beings on this planet. i get plenty involved,
AND i LIKE Robert Plant. so fuckin kick me off the planet, why doncha?!
