Re: Plant wanting Zep to continue?

Yes now that you mention it, I do recall reading that somewhere. But again, as
Tangerineman pointed out, we can all agree Plant is rather fond of the first
person. :) It seems presumptuous of him to think that Zeppelin would stop or
end
should he decide to go solo. It would certainly have been different, but the
instrumental part of the band would have been intact (had Bonzo lived). The
rhythm
section was without equal and Jimmy seemed to be cleaning up his bad habits
until
Bonzo passed away.

Of course we can speculate all we want but only these guys really know what
went
down or what their own intentions were. A good example is the report that the
new
interview quotes Page as expressing surprise about JPJ's consideration of
leaving
Zeppelin for a choirmaster job.

What I find especially maddening about Robert is this feeling that he throws
these
comments out there for his own amusement knowing full well that hardcore fans
hang
on his every word. He's been playing this game for years and eventually it deep
sixes his credibility, as least it certainly did so for me.
