Tucson 6/28/72 -CONFIRMED!!!

hey everyone!

BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER: I do not have a burner and the taper is laying low 
for the time being....

I got a short sampler a few days ago from the taper and IT'S TUCSON!! 

he gave me a cd that begins at the end of a SMOKING "Black Dog" -Page tears it 
UP!! soloing unlike I've ever heard.... after the end of "Black Dog" Plant 
talks to the audience and says: ""Well, uh, I believe we came to Arizona some 
time ago..and uh, I collapsed...I was ill, everybody went home and left me in 
Phoenix...and I just can't get hot weather together at all...coming from the 
mountains and things like that...anyway, this is the last gig on this tour and 
we intend to have a really good time (massive cheers) and this is a special 
treat, we'd like to do a number off the fifth album -this is not going to be 
called 'Led Zeppelin 5'... this is one of the tracks, it's called...there's a 
strobe bug? (not sure what he says after 'strobe') and we must do something 
about the men in the red jackets as well....anyway this is a thing called 'Over 
The Hills And Far Away'"" (OTHAFA is cut -prob due to this is just a "sampler") 
at the end of OTHAFA, Plant says: "thats the story of things that you never 
really know" and then you can hear a girl in the crowd clearly shout "Welcome 
to Tucson!" Plant then says: "it's warming up! I can feel it!...here's 
something a little softer...(and then begins a great near complete but faded 
out 'Since I've Been Loving You'. !!! 

thanks to my portable cd player and the pause button everything above is word 
for word except for the "strobe bug" part -I can't be sure of what he said ... 
I had the sound up to 10 and there is no detection of any "forging" or splicing 
of Plants comments...

I had goosebumps listening to this! the sound is clear in some parts and 
distorted in others but VERY acceptable! I think it only adds to the 
atmosphere....! 

please do not ask for copies as I do not have a burner... if we are lucky this 
will be heard by all in it's entirety!!

I was beginning to have my doubts too until this arrived I've YET to get HTWWW!!

well, I'm off to see the unseen! again. ;)
