Damn it, I don't think it showed up the first time I sent it. I hope AOLMAIL
works.
AOL makes me so angry.
Anyway, part 1 of 2...
Before I begin on my recollection of the 27th, one of the greatest days of my
life, I
just had to read th backlog of emails that you guys sent, to see your responses
to the
DVDs and the premiere and such. Beware, most if it is generally shallow.
First off:
1. Nech, your hastily written yet deeply emotional post makes my heart beat
faster
remembering everything that happened. What a ride!
2. Josh Mooney, in response to this on the list of your favorite moments:
>>- ---Plant and Bonham¹s dual tie-dyed t-shirts during same.
- - ---Page¹s hot pink velvet jacket over a macramé-type sleeveless shirt during
same.<<
And I thought only females could truly appreciate those four heavenly bodies.
I may be in it for the music, but I'll be damned if I don't pay attention to
the nipples.
3. Debbie, in response to:
>>Hmm... maybe I have a bad case of blind idol worship, maybe I have long
anticipated something like this from Zep, maybe I only care about what it
sounds like or maybe I'm just plain shallow, but I'd have bought any new
release from Zeppelin, even if it were in a plain brown wrapper. Oh wait...
I did do that.<<
Yes... to anyone who dissed the covers, you are entitled to your opinions, but
she makes
an extremely good point. The first image of ITTOD's cover for most of the
people who've
bought it was a piece of brown paper you could take home a magazine in.
It's what's under the wrapper that counts.
4. Keith Gardeck's "ugly" opinions: Sorry, in my humble opinion, if it's on
JPJ, it
can't really be all that ugly. ^_^;; Of course I'm sure many people beg to
differ... keep
begging. (LOL)
5. Nic's convo concerning:
>> And when did crop circles ever have anything to do with Led Zeppelin?<<
>Hmm...possibly to represent "Mystery/Mystique"????
Or maybe they're aliens. Maybe the blimp is is symbol of their space ship.
Shar, care to analyze?
6. Walter:
>>Has anybody noticed on the promo for CB that Bonham still has his second bass
>>drum?
That's the only time I've actually seen it.. the band made him get rid of it
not long after
they formed. Thought this was pretty cool, another nice addition to already
incredible dvds-<<
If I'm not mistaken, this was the video that came with the Early Days CD,
right?
Good, because my Early Days has a horrible scratch that stops the video (and
immigrant song)
about a minute in... and that video just makes me giggle with girlish glee...
now I'm so glad
I can watch the whole thing!
7. letsrock:
>>Page "lost" it and flubbed because he was showboating for spectacle yah I
remember ppl saying that all the time after seeing Zep in concert they filed
out in droves before the encore bitching and moaning about that dahamned
Page dancing erratically all over the stage with his bow and flubbing up all
the solos like getting in front of Robert doing his "Push Push Yea" it was
so bad Jonsey and Bonzo missed their intros too and you could see __they knew
the end of Zeppelin was near__ , they were all pissed!!! LOLOLOL!!!!<<
Did anyone else read this and say "oh puh-leeeeze?"
8. The incredible JR: >>Ok, my point is here is that $69.56 minus $27.09
equals $42.47!!!!<<
Somebody get this man a numerologist! I want to know what this means!
Gosh this email is getting long. I'll write my personal experience of the
premiere in a
separate email.
Happy Zep Day (belated)
