SZC: Trey Anastasio @ Hammerstein Ballroom

As Nech mentioned, guitarist/singer Trey Anastasio (of Phish phame) was
playing last night with his band at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, across
from the Loews cinemas on 34th where the Zep DVD premiere was held.

I just read that on Monday night at the first show, they broke out Black Dog
as the second encore (with Phish's Mike Gordon guesting on bass). Perhaps a
certain Mr. Page was in town, or perhaps the impending NYC Zep Day had some
influence... Then again, Phish have always been known for covering Zep (I
love the note-for-note solo in their take on GTBT) and one of their early
songs was even called "Letter to Jimmy Page."

There was no Zep in the set last night, however, even though Warren Haynes
showed up to jam, and he's another guitarist whose fondness for LZ is well
known.
