Happy Zep Day

Well, this was a wild day.

The Tower Records up the street had an announcement for the CD and
DVD sets up on their marquee, and, for whatever reason, there seemed
to be a steady stream of cowboy hats headed up to their doors leaving
with bags in their hands. I don't know if it was a University of
Texas thing, or a bunch of fans doing homage, but it looked cool,
nonetheless. :D

It was even an above-average sales day for me, since there seemed to
be a number of rockers in the crowd, and many of them liked my line
of goodies, luckily. I might have enough to pay for the CD sooner
than I thought, if this keeps up. :)

Meanwhile, the local radio stations are giving away copies, so I am
hoping I can at least get in a call to make up for the fact that I
didn't even get into the drawing for tickets to go to NYC tonight.
Wish me luck!

Am I the only one who notices the cool halo around the big natural
monument on the cover? I think it's really cool. I don't know if
it's an effect or a very fortuitous photo, but it is suitably Zep for
moi. :) For that matter, the artwork I've seen on the CD is
reminiscent of the stuff on LZ 3, but that's just my silly eyes, I
guess. Too many hours working again, I guess.

On a slightly zeppish note, do we have any Celtic History experts
here in this group? I'm working on a novel, right now, and could use
a little advice on a good source for 11th century Irish information.
Meanwhile, I'll check the UT library--they have a great Celtic
section. I wonder if Page, Plant or Jones ever checked that out
while they were here in Austin? Seems a floor of the Undergraduate
Library at least one of them might have checked out. :D
