Great DVD moments (Take 1)

DVD MOMENTS I FUCKING LOVE SO FAR (Take 1):

- ---The Australian daytime footage synched to "Immigrant¹s Song."
- ---The ass-wipe/idiot America journalists at the ¹70 press conference who
keep asking Page and Plant about the influence of the Beatles. Had any of
them EVER listened to a Zep song? Or to the
Yardbirds/Cream/Hendrix/any-and-all blues?
- ---Page¹s comment during same about Spiro Agnew ("Isn¹t he a model for a
wristwatch?"). Yes he is, Jimmy, and I have an original 1970 Agnew
wristwatch, which I will gladly give you, the next time I see you. In fact,
I'm about to commence a search all over Manhattan for you, Agnew-watch in
hand.
- ---Page¹s hand gestures, and general comportment, during the MSG "The
Ocean." (Someone should write a book about Pagey¹s on-stage gestures---and
in fact, someone has. Get Susan Fast¹s mind-bending "In the Houses of the
Holy" if you don¹t have it yet).
- ---The stunned, stupid, uncomprehending faces on the French crowd during the
"Tous En Scene" TV footage. One little boy seems to be nodding out on his
mother¹s shoulder during this onslaught of sounds. Or perhaps he¹s been
trampled underfoot.
- ---Plant and Bonham¹s dual tie-dyed t-shirts during same.
- ---Page¹s hot pink velvet jacket over a macramé-type sleeveless shirt during
same.
- ---Plant briefly quoting Neil Young ("Be on my side, I'll be on your side")
during RAH¹s "Dazed."
- ---Plant appearing to be genuinely choked up as he thanks the crowd at the
end of Knebworth.
