When a minute seems like a lifetime

In less than 48 hours ( we're down to hours!! ) we will all breathe a sigh of 
relief as 
the rest of the world gasps in awe. This is going to be *so big*

It already is. The buzz around town is pure Zeppelin. Almost as if they're 
coming to play 
in the town center. Everybody I mean everybody is talking about this. And from 
what I see, 
it's not because of the media blitz. As far as I'm concerned the media has been 
rather 
quiet... No massive billboards, I still haven't seen any tv ad and I've spent 
alot of time 
lately watching the tube..other than 1 station in NY town touting mostly 
themselves for the 
premiere tix contest, it hasn't been the massive promo onslaught at all. It's 
the PEOPLE 
TALKING THAT'S DOING IT. I think just the listen folks have got from the 5 song 
promo has 
been enough to make their hairs stand on end and the teeny bones in the ear beg 
for more.

Went to my local Music Merchant and even though he had it in stock already he 
refused to let 
me have it early for fears it would jeopordize the relationship with his 
distributor. Me quipping 
"What about the relationship with your customers?" didn't help matter...so went 
to a Sam Goody of 
all places, plopped down my 5 bucks for the reserve and am guaranteed a copy of 
both for a 
ludicrous $28 ! ! ! They must be mistaken, but if not...it'll be the best damn 
lunch money I've 
ever spent in my life.

Funny. I'm taking tuesday off. For reasons I cannot explain, this day is gonna 
be so important. 
I gotta be there for the music , the moment, the second that drone gets 
catapulted into the 
stratosphere and our lives will be changed forever.

Heard some folks say they might just stop trading after this. I almost felt the 
same...but you 
know...international feel..there's always more..still there's more.  For me 
Zeppelin's music 
transcends teh "sound quality" the video gen...some of my most treasured Zep 
moments and LP's 
( yes LP's) are the most horrendous sounding things..yet I adore them for the 
moment in history 
that they represent. There' more out there. I will keep on keeping on till my 
collection topples 
over on me and collapses my lungs.

I thank everyone here for the years of fun and look foward to many more.
Some of you I've gotten to know rather well albeit as "pen pals" and you are 
good friggin people. 
I want to tell you...I love you man. You know who you are.

If anything I will take a break to soak in this new ( or shall I say newer ) 
stuff, get my 
collection in order and to enjoy life to it's fullest. Been pretty sick the 
past few weeks..got 
that way by not paying attention to myself and working way too hard. Had I 
stopped to smell the 
roses I wouldn't be popping more penicillin than a mad cow right now. But 
somehow I think it was 
meant to be as coming out of this situation, life is indeed good and the roses 
smell terrific.

So many minutes till TUesday!!! It'll seem like a lifetime.
