You're a fount of valuable and welcome info, as usual. I've never seen such
a detailed explanation of Plant's decision to leave P/P.

The other quote I remember from him, a recent one during his Dreamland press
interviews, was to the effect that he had a "moment" at the Amnesty
International gig in Paris (he mentions playing on the same bill as
Radiohead although he can¹t mean a causal connection) and decided he was
sick of the arenas and stadiums. Words to that effect, anyway.

I'm not sure they ever actually played the jazzfest, but did play Le Casino
several times, of course.
